Marje Tracy holds decades of experience producing, directing, teaching and coaching young actors and singers across the country.

A Steamboat Springs local for over five years, she brings her depth of experience and knowledge of the performing arts to students of all ages at her "Steamboat Springs Actor's Studio." Whether coaching voice or training performers for their college auditions, Marje offers acting and musical theatre classes as well as private acting and voice lessons.

Locally, Marje directed Legally Blonde Jr. at SSMS, and most recently The Phantom Tollbooth at SSHS. Marje taught acting and musical theater at Perry Mansfield, as well as directing ELF the Musical and The 25* Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee in 2024.

Marje has directed and choreographed musicals at Joel Barlow High School in Connecticut for many years as well as directing the Fairfield Follies for 13 years, a Broadway musical revue produced and later supported by the Fairfield Rotary Club. It included students from 20 different high schools in Fairfield and New Haven Counties.

Marje's on-stage experience includes the roles of Ellie in Showboat, Petra in A Little Night Music, and Connie in South Pacific at the Darien Dinner Theatre, plus Sally in Cabaret, Gladys in Pajama Game, Annie in Annie Get Your Gun, Lucille in No No Nanette, Reno Sweeney in Anything Goes and many more.

After attending the University of Connecticut, Marje graduated from The American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City. She studied acting for many years under Robert Modica at Carnegie Hall and vocal performance with Maurice Jampol and Marianne Challis. She continued her studies in Connecticut with acting coach Doug Taylor and voice with Beverly Lambert and Susan Terry.

She has her broker associate real estate license in Colorado and real estate agent license in Connecticut. Marje enjoys golf, Zumba, yoga, barre, walking her Standard Poodle Sammy and spending time with her family here in Steamboat and back east.
